Despite buzz of Epic Records posting $2 million bail for Shmurda, attorney Howard Greenberg said his client has remained jailed.

“There is no news. We’re just trying to put something else together now,” Greenberg said about Epic possibly posting the $2 million bail. “My guy’s rich, he’s busy. He’s always on tour. He’s supposedly leader of this crew, but he’s not charged with any violence. Use your head, it doesn’t make any sense. I’m not going to let them crucify Bobby Shmurd.” (The FADER)

Check out what else Greenberg said about Shmurda right here…

Recently, Greenberg said the government was out to take down hip-hop.

“Let me give you some context. The government hates rap and the government hates rappers. They target these guys and construct a narrative around them and then they rationalize the narrative in order to get an indictment. I had said previously, it’s a bunch of bullsh*t. What they do is they recruit guiltless, loveless people who are truthless that are jealous of brothers on the way up and they get them to implicate them.” (XXL Mag)

A flurry of entertainers relied on social media to support Bobby amid his publicized arrest.

A press conference and arraignment took place earlier this month.

The press conference for Bobby Shmurda and GS9′s indictment happened at 3:30 p.m., held by Police Commissioner Bill Bratton and Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget G. Brennan. Shmurda pled not guilty to currently-unspecified weapons and drug charges. Darla Miles of Eyewitness News on Channel 7 WABC-TV states that the bail is set at $2 million and that Shmurda’s label Epic Records will post the bail. (XXL Mag)

Pictures of the guns had also sprouted online.

  1. It’s cheaper to sit in jail until they get the charges dismissed. No way his crew let’s him go down. He’s the bread winner.

  2. It’s alot of ppl who making money but can’t afford 2 mil if u sitting right at 2 mil u can’t just spend 2 mil I wish him the best of luck but that’s alot of bread to come up with he probably only had like 300k saved which is crazy because even murderous bails r only 1 mil
