Brooklyn rapper Bobby Shmurda has no plans of cutting a deal with prosecutors after reportedly pleading not guilty to a drug possession charge today (November 24).
According to reports, Shmurda made his plea in a New York courtroom Monday.
The hip-hop newcomer, real name Ackquille Pollard, was slapped with the count in October (14) after he was allegedly caught smoking a marijuana joint while sitting in a double parked car with two friends in his native Brooklyn, New York. He spent the night behind bars and appeared in a Big Apple courtroom on Monday (24Nov14) to answer the charge. (Contact Music)

The rapper’s mom recently talked about his publicized rant about not making money in the music industry.
“It’s not that he’s not getting paid, it’s that he’s new to the business,” Leslie Pollard tells Billboard. “There’s a chain of command that he has to go through before he gets his payment. I guess he’s thinking all the money should go from the front man to his hands — it doesn’t work like that. Of course they hold onto it so he actually does the show. Then it goes to his business manager, then to the touring accountant, and then to him.” (Billboard)
In the now-deleted post, Shmurda let loose and hinted at possibly resorting to a different career.
Last night. he took to his Instagram and sounded off in a now deleted post about doing countless shows and not having a dime to show for it. “Nah idgaf I’m doing all theses show not getting ma money dey got me doing sh*t every f*cking day so its hard to keep up Witt dis shit den I ain’t got nobody to trust ain’t no help in dis b*tch I’m ready to go back to da trap be4 jail #RNS dats how I feel foh,” the 20-year-old posted.
