Black Rob Tells Us What Rap Vets He Works Best With, Says The Music Biz “Is Where It’s Supposed To Be Right Now”

[After recently treating diehard fans to his new “Genuine Article” album, former Bad Boy rapper Black Rob talks to SOHH about what artists he meshes best with, hit-making, the state of the music biz right now and more!]

The artists I feel I have the most or best chemistry with are Tek (Smif & Wessun), Sean Price, and Sadat X (Brand Nubian).

Producers would be Buckwild, D. Dot, and Easy Mo Bee. We have a history of making hits together.

As far as someone in the studio with me [I have the most chemistry with], if anybody it would be my manager Jemal (Jay), but I don’t need anyone in the studio with me other than the engineer to press those buttons.

[Is the music industry missing anything?] No, I don’t think so. The music business is where it supposed to be right now.

Things will always change in this game, that’s a part of each artist’s creativity and what they have to offer.
