In a recent announcement, Blac Chyna revealed that she has been cast as Nisi in the live stage adaptation of the 1997 film B.A.P.S., a role originally portrayed by Halle Berry.
Blac Chyna, who now goes by her government name, Angela White, announced she was going to play Nisi in the live play of B.A.P.S., a role Halle Berry played in the 1997 film.
Dressed as Nisi with the gold-tooth grin, White took to her Instagram to share her news:
“Wow,” the new thespian gushed on Instagram. “God is so good, and everything that I’ve ever envisioned is finally all happening. I’m so excited to announce that I will be playing “NiSi,” the role that Halle Berry played in 1997.”

From the mind of Je’Caryous Johnson, who also directed the live B.A.P.S. stage play, the play is opening on Mother’s Day weekend in Detroit on May 11-14, in Los Angeles on May 18-21, and in Atlanta on June 8-11.
“We will also tour again in the Fall,” White continued. “So stay tuned.
White also shouted out renowned Los Angeles casting director Natasha Ward, also known for her work with Quavo on his debut feature, Praise This, releasing April. 7 with Chloe Bailey on Peacock and recent works with Keke Palmer.
Black Chyna’s castmate for the role of Mickey, originally played by the late actress Natalie Desselle, remains a mystery.
Angela White Set To Fill Halle Berry’s Shoes As Nisi
Chyna and Halle Berry are three inches apart in height, with Chyna being 5’2 while Berry is 5’5.
Also, in the Instagram post, Chyna shows her followers the infamous blonde hairstyle for the Nisi role, similar to Berry in the movie.
Chyna has been trying her hand in acting roles as she previously starred in Secret Society 2: Never Enough and The Black Hamptons TV drama show on BET+ as Karrin in 2022.
The play should not get confused with the remake of the actual “B.A.P.S.” film, especially since rappers Cardi B and Meg Thee Stallion have already called dibs.
