Cash Money Records boss Birdman and Lil Wayne really don’t want smoke for one another. The public rivals are reportedly working to make amends over a publicized $51 million lawsuit.
According to reports, the duo have worked away at trying to bury their problems.
Sources connected to the former Cash Money duo tell us the $51 million lawsuit between them is still very much on, but they’ve managed to separate that from their personal relationship. As our source put it, “They’re family and that’s bigger than money.” We’re told they’ve talked several times over the past few months, and although it’s no longer the father-son relationship they used to have, they ARE making an attempt to squash the beef. Last night, Lil Wayne and Birdman reunited once again at LIV nightclub in Miami, Florida during #LIVonSundays. As well as Tunechi and Baby, other people in attendance that night were 2 Chainz, Mack Maine, Brian Williams Jr., and more. (Lil Wayne HQ)
Recently, Birdman promised to soon deliver Lil Wayne’s long-delayed Tha Carter V album.
“He is the best ever to me,” he said. “A lot of success comes from under his umbrella. I think it’s gonna be the biggest album of 2018, one of them. Without a doubt. It’s gonna be well worth the wait.” (Rap-Up)
In August 2017, Lil Wayne explained why he would not put out Tha Carter V in a rushed effort to satisfy fans.
“Of course you’re going to see Tha Carter V. I just don’t want to put it out the wrong way. Honestly, I can do what I want at any time. The fans deserve it to be right and that’s how it’s gonna be. I’ma make sure it’s right. I can drop whatever I want to drop. That’s why I keep dropping whatever I want to drop. But, I’m not going to give Carter V the wrong way.” (Q93)
