G.O.O.D. Music’s Big Sean is still out here making sure you know he’s riding for Colin Kaepernick. The hip-hop star went to social media to share footage of himself saluting the NFL free agent and Black Lives Matter activist during a YG show.
Sean Don hopped on Instagram Monday (August 6) and relived the “Big Bank” and Madden 19 censorship.
“All I got to say is they can’t stop us, they ain’t gonna censor us, they’re not gonna take no lyrics out of no songs. We say what we mean and mean what we say. I say you boys all cap, I’m more Colin Kaepernick.”

On Thursday, Madden 19 developer EA issued a statement explaining there was no malicious intent on Kaepernick’s “Big Bank” reference fading to black off the game’s soundtrack.
“We made an unfortunate mistake with our Madden NFL soundtrack,” EA said in a statement issued Thursday evening. “Members of our team misunderstood the fact that while we don’t have rights to include Colin Kaepernick in the game, this doesn’t affect soundtracks. We messed up, and the edit should never have happened. We will make it right, with an update to Madden NFL 19 on August 6 that will include the reference again. We meant no disrespect, and we apologize to Colin, to YG and Big Sean, to the NFL, to all of their fans and our players for this mistake.” (ESPN)
Prior to the apology, both “Big Bank” rappers YG and Big Sean spoke on the situation.
“I want my home Colin Kaepernick to know that I ain’t have nothing to do with that Madden sh*t. I ain’t approve that, Big Sean ain’t approve that, Nicki Minaj ain’t approve that, motherf*cking 2 Chainz ain’t approve that. We ain’t got nothing to do with that. I support you. I’ve been supporting you. EA Sports, NFL, whoever, y’all owe me, Big Sean, 2 Chainz and Nicki Minaj and the homie Kaepernick an apology. That’s what it is. 400. I’ll be looking for an apology soon.”

It’s disappointing and appalling @NFL & @EA took @Kaepernick7’s name out of my verse on Big Bank for Madden 19, like it was a curse word. When he's not a curse, he's a gift! Nobody from my team approved any of this.
