Revealing a few of the guest features, Sean detailed how much of an impact No I.D. will have on his project.

“The title as of now is gonna be called Finally Famous,” Sean said in an interview. “I may at the last minute add a subtitle to it because that’s also the name of my mixtape series I did. That’s something I really wanna brand as a lifestyle because that’s what I believe in. When you’re famous you’re recognized for doing something, and I always put finally in front of it because I feel like this sh*t’s what we’ve been grinding and working for all these years, and that can relate to anybody. As far as production majority of it was done by No I.D. which I feel is not even fair because he’s just so d*mn good and he’s such an O.G. and he’s seen music come full circle. He really has a great perspective on music and is definitely one of my mentors.” (XXL Mag)

No to be outdone, Sean also recruited Kanye West and Pharrell Williams to contribute.

“Of course Kanye put his foot in it and Pharrell put some work in,” he added. “As far as features Mike Posner‘s on there, The-Dream and a couple [of] others but not too many features. I really wanted to keep it to the story of my life from someone realizing what they wanna do, and starting to live out their dreams, and falling in and out of love, partying, and sh*t people can really relate to. It’s real life sh*t that people are gonna be able to smoke to, cry to, have sex to. That’s really the best type of music period.” (XXL Mag)

The project will finally arrive in retail stores around early May.

Looks like Big Sean’s anticipated album, Finally Famous, will be coming out on May 3rd, 2011 via G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam. He also confirmed that Kanye, Mike Posner, and Pharrell will all make appearances. Another interesting note is that he mentions a mixtape should be dropping before the album, to make sure the buzz is right. (MOG News)

Last month, reports claimed the album would drop in late March.

Big Sean commanded listeners’ attention earlier this week with the debut of his Chris Brown-assisted single “My Last,” and now his debut album finally has an official release date. The G.O.O.D. Music rapper will drop his first studio LP Finally Famous: The Album on March 29, Rap-Up.com has learned. He will face competition from his hip-hop peers Wiz Khalifa (Rolling Papers) and Snoop Dogg (Doggumentary), among others. (Rap-Up)

Big Sean’s Finally Famous is set to drop Tuesday, May 3rd.
