A few days ago, buzz developed about Sean and Boomin putting together a new album.

“To try to do it all by yourself — that’s the ego talking,” says Big Sean, pacing around one of the recording studios in a stylish rented house in Venice, Calif., near the ocean. He and superproducer Metro Boomin are playing songs from their joint album, Double or Nothing (coming soon), and they’re feeding off each other’s energy: Metro will scrunch up his face at certain lines of Sean’s, while the rapper will let out a spontaneous “Woo!” when Metro’s beats drop in. Last week, reports surfaced about Sean dropping millions on a California mansion.

The rapper made moves this week to buy the 7 bed, 8 bath, 11,000 sq. ft. Beverly Hills palace previously owned by the GNR guitarist. The pad’s been on the market since Perla, Slash’s ex, filed for divorce in 2014. Big Sean’s dropping $8.7 mil for the crib — a steal considering Slash originally listed it for around $11 mil and dropped it to $9.5 mil last year. (TMZ)

Recently, Sean’s girlfriend Jhené Aiko talked about feeling uncomfortable performing alongside her potential future hubby.

Maintaining a relationship with the rapper while balancing their demanding schedules is easy, she insists. “We trust each other, so there’s nothing to worry about,” Aiko says. “With cell phones, it’s easier. It’s like, ‘I love you, goodnight. Good morning, I love you, TTYL.’” Recently, the two performed the Trip song “Moments” on The Tonight Show, and their chemistry crackled. “It’s strange performing with him, because I think he’s so attractive that it’s weird for me to sing to him. I still have a crush on him,” she says. (Nylon)
