“@jleeondatrak: go to i tunes now! i tunes i tunes i tunes i tunes i tunes i tunes i tunes i tunes i tunes i tunes i tunes i tunes i tunes,” he wrote Tuesday (July 6) morning.

“@ThisIsDAO: Attention hip-hop: @Therealbigboi breathed some new life in2 this sh*t. Front to back “Sir Lucious Left Foot” is a classic.”

“24hour Walmart say’s Sir Lucious is now ready for pick up!”

“R.I.P Tony Andre Kearse A.K.A Chico Dusty for u miss u pop”

“@sleepybrownatl I feel like it’s my motherf*ckin birthday… I’m so crunk I can’t sleep.”

“#FACT- If you have ” Lookin For ya ” with stacks and sleepy. It came after “HustleBlood”, in the album sequence. Add it to your playlist” (Big Boi’s Twitter)

The release was initially scheduled for a 2008 and was later moved to last September.

“The status of the solo album is it’s coming,” Boi said in an interview. “September it’ll be here. Gotta new label situation that everybody gonna hear about real soon. I can’t give it to you right now, we gotta ink it. It’s going down, I think a lot of people are gonna see where we’re going with it. Complete that album, working on some other new stuff right now. [Andre 3000] is in Atlanta right now working on his solo record, he cut a couple of records. Then we’ll have a new Outkast album…I know y’all been waiting man, it took me like two years to finish it. I’m very satisfied. The label is ecstatic.” (DJ Booth)

However, complications with Jive eventually forced him to ink a deal with Def Jam.

“It was a lot of behind the scenes, label politics,” Boi told hip-hop personality Gyant referring to his album delay. “A lot of people don’t know, we started at LaFace Records with LA Reid…as of maybe three weeks ago [Jive] gave me the opportunity to take the album elsewhere, I called my big brother LA Reid, he said meet me in Miami the next day. We flew to Miami, played him the music, he said let’s do it, deal is done..I’m not even concerned about nothing but me. People might say [Def Jam] doesn’t have any hot artists but he got the number one record with Ludacris‘ last week…my album is a musical nuclear bomb…The OutKast album, I can’t really say which label it’ll be on because I really don’t know which label it’s gonna fall. I’m gonna put my solo album out first, Dre is working with his solo album right now…” (Gyant Unplugged)

Although fans are anxious for another OutKast album, Boi has promised to solely focus on the new solo project’s promotion.

The more visible OutKast member says he’s frequently asked about the long-awaited project from him and André 3000, but things could get ugly if he spills the beans. “When I do interviews and they ask where the OutKast album is, I have to tell them it’s top-secret information, and that me and Andre 3000 will have to put something to your temple if I say something about it,” he tells SPIN magazine. The duo made a promise not to speak about their next collaborative effort until the release is near. “We made a pact that we will not disclose any information until it’s about to come out,” he reveals.
