Hollywood actor Luke Perry is dead at the age of 52. Days after suffering a massive medical complication, reports claim the former “Beverly Hills, 90210” and “Riverdale” star died.

According to reports, Perry died this morning in California surrounded by family.

Luke passed away Monday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank. According to his rep, Luke was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiance Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends. Perry’s cult favorite “Beverly Hills, 90210” show is expected to return to TV with a reboot.

News of Perry’s hospitalization coincided with the announcement that Fox would be reviving Beverly Hills, 90210, in which Perry played Dylan McKay during the original show’s run through the 1990s. The upcoming series sees six original stars returning to play heightened versions of themselves; however, Perry is not involved in the project. THR has reached out about the show’s status given the news. Perry also did not appear in The CW’s 90210 reboot, which featured original stars Jennie Garth, Shannen Doherty and Tori Spelling, when it launched in 2008. (The Hollywood Reporter)

Last week, reports emerged about Perry getting hospitalized over a possible stroke.

Perry’s representative, Arnold Robinson, confirmed that the 52-year-old actor “is under observation at the hospital” but would not confirm the reason for his hospitalization. Robinson has since denied a TMZ story reporting the actor has been placed in a medically induced coma, telling the gossip site and The Hollywood Reporter that he’s merely sedated. (USA Today)
