Showing off his self confidence, Zino said Caezar is the hottest thing coming out.

“I’ve been sitting on my throne for a long time now,” Zino said in an interview with Mikey T The Movie Star. “I done been there, done that, seen it, did it. But I like the [Watch the Throne] album. I like the album, the album’s pretty hot — At the end of the day, I got a joint coming out and I think mine’s is just as hot as Bad Meets Evil, just as hot as The Throne, just as hot as anything out there, really, to be honest with you.” (Mikey T The Movie Star)

With the project slated to drop September 11th, Zino said fans can anticipate street records.

“I know my album’s straight, all 19 joints from top to bottom,” Zino added. “I know there’s a lot of hype that goes along with all these other cats, but I know my sh*t tight. Lyrically. Beat-wise. I know n*ggas ain’t f*cking with my sh*t. And that’s not trying to brag. That’s from putting in work. So if y’all motherf*ckers wanna check it out before you start Twitting and talking sh*t and blogging, check that sh*t out. Believe me. Caezar. Y’all gonna like that sh*t, believe me. I stepped it up. N*ggas can’t f*ck with it. Believe me. I be listening to n*ggas’ sh*t. So if you’re looking for that pop sh*t, that real happy music, you ain’t gonna find it on here. You’re gonna find some hot joints. Some banging joints.” (Mikey T The Movie Star)

Earlier this month, Jay-Z talked about his joint album alongside Kanye West.

“It’s just protecting the music and the culture, like, it’s people that’s in the forefront of the music,” Jay told radio host Lorenzo Thomas. “It’s like, ‘Watch the throne,’ protect it. You just watch how popular music shift and how hip-hop has basically replaced rock n roll as the youth music. The same thing could happen to hip-hop. It could be replaced by other forms of music. So it’s just like making sure we’re putting that effort in making the best product, so we can contend with all these other music. With all dance music that’s dominating the charts right now, indie music that’s dominating the festivals and still holding off rock n roll. Just to hold our place and make sure — the hip-hop culture is still the most dominant form of music around the world.” (99 Jamz)

As of now, Hell: The Sequel is nearing 500,000 sold copies.

Grammy-winning rapper Eminem and Royce Da 5’9’s Hell: The Sequel moved up three notches to No. 11 with 23,300. With nine weeks knocked out, Bad Meets Evil’s new EP has sold 443,500 copies. (SOHH Sales Wrap)
