Beatnick & K-Salaam, the behind the scenes producers of some of your favorite songs, have taken their music to the biggest of world stages: the Olympics. The duo’s music was heavily featured in the opening montage of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil last Friday, and will be featured continuously throughout. K-Salaam had this to say about the use of his group’s music in this historic event:

“This is definitely something that we’re proud of. I have to give a lot of the credit to Beatnick as well as Lab Fantasma in Brazil. I feel like we made something special because everybody’s trying to use these songs that we did in Brazil. We get a lot of emails about these tracks. We obviously struck a nerve with people.”

As a production duo, Beatnick & K-Salaam have worked with the likes of: Keane, Trey Songz, Lil Wayne, Freddie Gibbs, Bun B, Jr. Reid, Talib Kweli, Sizzla, Buju Banton, Collie Buddz, and many more. The duo has done production workshops around the globe, as well as sound design for Ms. Lauryn Hill’s live shows / tours.

In addition to original production, their expert remixes have received high praise from the likes of Snoop Dogg and other tastemakers.

To celebrate their recent accolade, Beatnick & K-Salaam have remixed Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing” and are offering it for free download. You can hear “Sexual Healing Remix (Prod. by Beatnick & K-Salaam)” below, or by heading over to Bandcamp.
