Beanie also said he regretted defending Jay during their brief Roc-A-Fella and Ruff Ryders beef in 2001.

“Only thing I regret about that Roc-A-Fella sh*t was going at my n*gga Kiss,” Beans said in an interview referencing his 2001 beef with Jadakiss. “I did that sh*t for you n*gga ’cause you were scared. You knew Kiss would have bit that a**. I should pull off my belt and whip that a**. You better watch who you worship, man…I know all that f*ggot sh*t you poppin’ and the little slurs on Drake and them’s records and I’ma tell y’all little motherf*ckers something, y’all keep letting that n*gga get on records and pop sh*t. I’ma start coming at cha’ll little n*ggas. I’ll smack the sh*t outta Drake b*tch a**. All y’all n*ggas, f*ck all y’all. This is Broad Street Bully, B. Sig, I have no problem seeing anybody on site.” (Trinity Entertainment)

Sigel recently mocked Memphis Bleek‘s relationship with Hovi.

“I mean to me right now, that’s Jay young boy, that’s his lil’ man,” Beanie said in an interview. “Me, honestly, I think Bleek is happy how things are right now. Because now he really gets to be Jay’s lil’ man and it’s evident, you can see it. It’s like he’s the last one who survived. He weathered the storm but the storm didn’t start with the breakup, the storm started when Beanie Sigel got signed to the Roc. He was coming of age when I came. [Laughs.] He’s still coming of age.” (2 Dope Boyz)

Last January, Jay said he was shocked at the disses Beans was making toward him earlier this year.

“This rap music and the competitive by nature, nothing really surprises me anymore but I’ll honestly say, that was one that was like a shocker,” Hov said in an interview. “When you from a certain place, cut from a certain cloth, there’s certain things that’s just off limits. When you cross that line, we put you in a different box. That one was a little surprising. The competitive nature of rap music dictates that’s how it goes more times than it’s not…I think everybody run outta ideas, it’s all just marketing at this point. I don’t even think it’s competition anymore…” (“Ed Lover In The Morning”)

This week, Drake spoke on avoiding rap beefs and why he is unfazed by what artists say about him.

“There are a lot of stupid things that other of rappers are going to try and rope me into. But at the end of the day, unfortunately, that’s not what pushes my buttons. You can say anything to me and I will not react to it. And even in that specific situation [with Lil Kim] when things start getting said about me, it lost its thrill. You know what I mean? My biggest thing was I don’t like when you talk about people I love. People that I know for a fact are working very hard and are very respectful people. I don’t like that. That pushes my buttons more than anything you can say about me.” (All Hip Hop)

Jay-Z and Drake have collaborated on songs including “Light Up” and “Off That.”
