Former Roc-A-Fella Records artist Beanie Sigel is reportedly spending his Christmas in a hospital following a near-fatal shooting earlier this month.

According to reports, police have shut down rumors about Sigel possibly losing his life this week.

Sigel remained hospitalized on Christmas, Pleasantville Police Chief Jose Ruiz told NBC10 Thursday. Turns out the Naha satirical story had all sort of clues pointing to it being inaccurate including that Sigel was struck during a shootout last week (not earlier this month) and also contained a strange bit about the State Property rapper saying with his dying breath that he didn’t want any snakes at his funeral “so he expects only his mother to show up.” (NBC Philadelphia)

Sigel’s longtime friend Freeway recently went onto his Instagram page to promote support for Beans.

Recent reports claimed police wanted to speak with Sigel’s sister-in-law earlier this month.

According to reports, law enforcement had not received any leads on finding Sigel’s shooter in early December.
