Bad Boys 3 On The Way…For Real, Chris Brown’s Drug-Free, Childish Gambino Loses His Cool?

Frenzy Friday. We're all over the place today, so why not get things started correctly with Bad Boys 3 on the way...but seriously this time? Speaking of things on the way, is Chris Brown on the way to a healthy life by being drug-free? Someone who seemed to be under the influence this week is Childish Gambino, did he really lose it on social media? All this coming up in SOHH Whatcha Think.

1. Third Time’s The Charm

Don’t worry, it’s looking pretty real this time. After years and years of rumors claiming a Bad Boys 3 movie would be coming together, it looks like we are finally going to get it. But will both Martin Lawrence and Will Smith be in it? RumorFix is on it:

Good news for fans of the Bad Boys Franchise, Bad Boys 3 has been confirmed, RumorFix is reporting.

When asked whether a Bad Boys 3 is possible, Martin said that he has spoken with Jerry Bruckheimer and that the film is indeed happening. Martin told Conan, “Yes! I just talked to Jerry yesterday and he said that it is real and he is working on the script and that they are getting close.”

The 49-year-old actor starred in both previous films in the Bad Boys series alongside Will Smith. In July, Martin took to his Twitter account to commemorate the release of Bad Boys II. Martin posted a photo of himself and Will with the caption, “11 years ago today #BadBoysII was released in theaters. Feelin’ it’s about time for #3… Will what do you think? ” (RumorFix)

2. Feelin’ Good, Feelin’ Great, How Are You?

Is Chris Brown a changed man? We all hope so. At the very least it looks like we can say he is cleaned up. TMZ has the info:

Chris Brown’s been partying his ass off, but as far as the judge in his Rihanna beating case is concerned … he’s been a model citizen — and his reward will be fewer random drug tests.

Chris was in court in L.A. Wednesday for a progress report on his probation, and the results were glowing — all his random drug tests were negative and he attended bi-weekly therapy sessions.

So the judge agreed to cut the singer a break, and scale back the number of drug tests from 3 a week … to just 2.

Pretty impressive for a guy who had to be carried out of a club back in June. (TMZ)

3. Delete, Delete, Delete

Uh-oh. Is Childish Gambino mad at Donald Glover? Is Donald Glover losing touch with Chilidish Gambino? It seems the actor/rapper could not contain himself and had to let loose on social media this week. MTV has this covered:

Donald posted a lengthy string of tweets, touching on an array of subjects, from white privilege to the music industry to the public’s perception of young black males. He tweeted that he wrote the poem “after hearing a friend sobbing and after talking with my mom.”

And though he didn’t explicitly say so, the piece seems to be inspired, at least in some way, by the recent death of 18-year-old Mike Brown, who was shot and killed by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri over the weekend, as well as the subsequent reactions — of the public, police, and media — to the tragic incident. He also is critical of “twitter activism,” potentially a response to hashtags, such as #IfTheyGunnedMeDown, which have become popular in the aftermath of the shooting. (MTV)
