Cash Money Records boss Baby is ready to pack his bags and reunite his roster. The hip-hop mogul is reportedly quietly putting together a 20th anniversary national tour.
New reports claim the Birdman wants to put his brand on the road and tour in celebration of Cash Money’s historic music biz run.
Sources close to Birdman tell TMZ … the Cash Money lineup will include Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, Turk, some up-and-coming acts and Baby himself, and will hopefully kick off in February. We’re told there’s an open invite for Weezy to join the tour … but a lot of beef-squashing would have to be done before then. Our sources say Birdman’s been planning this all year because the 20th anniversary of the Cash Money label is coming up … and he thinks he can outdo Diddy no problem. (TMZ)
Earlier this month, Cash Money protégé Lil Wayne publicly ripped his label.
“You have been motherf*cking’ amazing. My name is Tunechi. I’m here on behalf of Young Moula motherf*cking baby. F*ck Cash Money in they a**. Holler back.”
Recently, Wayne sparked Jay Z rumors after shouting out his Roc-A-Fella Records brand during a live concert.
At this point, Wayne is saying fuck Cash Money for life. This Roc-A-Fella shout-out was random tho: pic.twitter.com/DiJoo7zJWC
