Cash Money Records boss Baby and Lil Wayne‘s aim to resolve their contractual issues has suffered a significant blow. New reports claim Wayne’s recent Jay Z shout-out has irked the music mogul.

According to reports, Birdman’s nowhere close to moving past a publicized $51 million dispute.

Sources close to the situation tell us … lawyers for the 2 camps were close to reaching a deal — one meeting away, in fact — when Wayne publicly dissed Birdman by changing the lyrics in “I’m Me” from a Cash Money shout-out to a Jay Z shout-out. We’re told Birdman has his own beef with Jay, which made Wayne’s diss sting even more. Lil Wayne’s “Suck my d***!” at that same show didn’t help either — so he pulled the plug on negotiations. (TMZ)

Earlier this month, Weezy F. Baby shocked fans by hinting at a possible Jay Z situation going down during a live concert.

In October, rap star Drake revealed his interest in hearing Wayne’s delayed Tha Carter V album amid his Cash Money feud.

Last month, Wayne likened his YMCMB woes to the Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh.

“It’s interesting. It’s interesting. It’s a perfect example of, that you aren’t bigger than the game. It’s a perfect example of that. You’re not bigger than the team and once you’re off the team, it’s not, we don’t care. Once you’re off the team, we don’t care. We’re still a team and we have to conduct ourselves as such, and we have to make the most for us. Reason being, I’m going through the same situation myself. So I know how it is. Everything I’ve done for them, they wouldn’t be them without me and, but I’m off the team so it’s, ‘screw him as long as we can, make sure we gonna screw him as much as we can, and when we can’t no more we’ll see what happens. That’s what it looks like they’re doing to Bosh” (“His & Hers”)
