According to reports, Birdman is upset at Wayne for singling him out on the new project.

Our sources say Birdman is angry on 2 fronts … that Wayne is trying to bail on a binding contract and even more personal, he’s putting their relationship on blast. Our Birdman sources say the mogul won’t budge and will only release the album on his terms. And he will fight Wayne if he sues to get out of his contract. (TMZ)

On his “CoCo” freestyle, Weezy F. Baby describes his loyalty to Cash Money amid labelmates leaving throughout the mid-2000’s.

“Who kept this sh*t together? N*gga, me, that’s who. Who was there when n*ggas left? N*gga, me, that’s who / Cash Money is an army, I’m a one man army / And if them n*ggas comin’ for me, I’m goin’ out like Tony …”Now I don’t want no problems, I just want my money – Birdman Jr., more like Ugly Duckling.” (“CoCo” Freestyle)

Last week, rap veteran Master P addressed whether or not Wayne could possibly land at No Limit Records

“This is definitely historical,” Master P said in an interview when asked if Wayne could find himself doing more work with him. “We never did nothing [like this,] it’s No Limit 24 anniversary. So we call it No Limit 24k. Anything is possible but Wayne is making good music. I rapped on his record, he rapped on my ‘Power’ record and we’re going to build a relationship. From here, wherever it go – it’s all official over here.” (“Sway In The Morning”)

Keeping an optimistic view, Young Money’s Christina Milian said she hoped Baby and Weezy would patch up their problems earlier this month.

“It’s a little difficult,” she said. “I’m on the same record label. I’m on Young Money, so it’s a little difficult when it comes to business. I understand the circumstance for all of them. I think everyone’s trying to work it out and I wish the best. Honestly it’s been an empire that has been built between Baby and with Lil Wayne. You can only hope for the best and big things for the both of them, that they continue this grind that they have. They basically paved the way for people like myself having the opportunity to become successful. I pray it all works out. I know he prays the same thing, nothing but the best.” (The Hollywood Reporter)

  1. Baby should let the man go on GP! and maybe then repair their relationship. but what kinda lawyers this man has even when people win cases against him he still doenst pay…YIKES

    • Unfortunately this is the record business. It’s not that easy. If it was me I would let Wayne go but alot of these artists are handcuffed by these contracts. Wayne isn’t the only one.

      • certainly. but why not just drop the album Wayne’s fans will buy regardless, something else going on. funny tho Baby always gets away with messing with folks money.

        • Birdman might be thinking “Ok this is Wayne’s last album here so I wanna make sure I really eat off this. He wants a smash hit album and none of the singles have really took off. It’s also rumors that Baby won’t allow the album to drop unless Wayne signs an extension with CM. Ooh. lol.

  2. WHAT A FUCKING JOKE!!!…….IMAGINE HOW FURIOUS ALL THE PEOPLE HE(THEY) OWES MONEY TO FEEL?!?!?! PAY PEOPLE WHAT THEY EARNED & YOU DON’T HAVE THIS PROBLEM!!!

  3. Wayne can go he just cant take his image likeness voice none of that Baby own all of that Wayne is at a point where he wants to renegotiate his contract he had a chance but he re signed and baby give him YM that’s when he should have had his contract exactly like he wonted it he was in a position to tell baby ok this is want you have to do Baby should let him go but think about he is the meal ticket this is a business and Wayne is big business to a lot of people so its not like he can just walk away.

  4. i could be wrong and if i am. i will be more than willing to accept that but i truely do not believe this outburst to be sincere….history also shows that cash money considered taking all members back at one point…i say that to say even if it is some real feeling / truth in waynes rants. birdman is about business and would easily take him back…every carter album has had push backs as a part of the promo….this is all just to build hype for what wayne Dubbed the last carter album…..either way wayne is cash money for life one through YMCMB he anit giving up drake and nicki……plus who in their right mind would buy out waynes contract…his albums and worth are on the decline it would not be a fruitful investment at least as far as records…even if you brought him just for the buzz…the new label would never get attributed the credit cause wayne and cashmoney go hand to hand…like a actor that gets type casted wayne can only be Cashmoney

  5. I’m with Birdman in this one. In 2012 Baby let Wayne sign a 4 album deal. So that means Lil Wayne owes Birdman 3 albums inlcuding The Cartver V. Business is business. PERIOD!
