Earlier this week, the 6 God hinted at a big birthday mix going down this weekend.
Reports this week claimed Drake made history on streaming giant Spotify.
This past May, Drake scored his first ever solo No. 1 song with his VIEWS single “One Dance.” Today, Spotify has announced that “One Dance” has become the platform’s most streamed song ever. It has accrued over 880 million streams, topping the previous record-holder “Lean On” (by Major Lazer and DJ Snake featuring MØ), which had 526 million global plays when it became most-streamed last November. Back in August, Drake’s Views album reached triple platinum status.
To no one’s surprise, Drake’s latest project, VIEWS is now certified triple-platinum. After reaching double-platinum about two months ago, Drizzy’s 2013 Nothing Was The Same album has also reached triple-platinum status this past March. Drake is currently on a positive wave with apparent projects alongside Gucci Mane and Kanye West in the works, respectively. (HYPEBEAST)
