New York rapper Azealia Banks knows the world digs more than just hip-hop. The rap diva recently revealed her intent on discovering the art of jazz.

According to Banks, she’s aiming to release a jazz-inspired project in 2018.

During her one-hour set, Azealia revealed that by this time next year, she would be dropping a jazz album. When asked about the upcoming jazz project, she explained, “There’s a lot of jazz influence on a lot of my music. Even on ‘212: A-yo.’ A lot of people didn’t even know that was me singing. I’ve heard it a lot.” (HHDX)

In mid-August, rapper Iggy Azalea addressed buzz about a mysterious Banks collabo possibly not coming out.

Days prior, Azealia hinted at the collabo never dropping due to Iggy’s label issues.

Fans had been asking both female rappers about the much awaited collab and earlier today, Banks finally gave in to provide an answer. Posting on her Instagram story, Azealia Banks said that the song will not happen because Def Jam is not “releasing anymore singles for her.” Looks like she’s tried to make it happen but Iggy’s label is not interested in investing in her. Back in early July, Azealia had revealed Iggy prematurely announced their collabo would appear on her upcoming Digital Distortion album.
