New York rapper Azealia Banks is letting her thoughts pour out. Days after Alabama green lit its abortion ban, the hip-hop artist has stepped up to weigh-in on women having their right to choose taken away.
Banks jumped on social media Monday to share a positive perspective on having abortion laws enforced.
Last week, rap veterans Snoop Dogg and Diddy went to Instagram to share a pro-choice meme.
Throughout last Thursday, various women from singer Rihanna to model Amber Rose have shared their issues with Alabama’s extreme abortion stance.
After mounted coverage and debate this week, the anti-abortion bill turned into law.
Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey on Wednesday signed into law a controversial abortion bill that could punish doctors who perform abortions with life in prison.”Today, I signed into law the Alabama Human Life Protection Act, a bill that was approved by overwhelming majorities in both chambers of the Legislature,” said Ivey, a Republican, in a statement. “To the bill’s many supporters, this legislation stands as a powerful testament to Alabamians’ deeply held belief that every life is precious and that every life is a sacred gift from God.” (CNN)
