Back in August, Azealia announced an end to her frequent e-beefing.
A month prior, Banks came forward to speak out on lightening her skin.
“You guys really want to talk to me about this skin whitening thing and skin bleaching thing and why I did it and what does it mean, blah, blah, blah. I don’t really think it’s important to discuss the cultural significance of skin bleaching anymore because I think that just as African American people or Black people in this world, you assimilate. There are things that you accept not out of necessity, but things that kinda become the norm because it’s just happening all of the time. I think that also goes for Black people or any minority.”
