It has been ten years in the making. Ever since we were reintroduced to Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we have been building to this very moment. 10 years and 18 movies to get to the ultimate showdown between the Avengers and the mad titan Thanos.

With the record smashing opening weekend close to $250 million dollars, you’ve seen it by now. It’s near the top of my list as the best the MCU has had to offer its fans. It had EVERYTHING! In fact it had SOHH much to offer, it must be watched again. I walked away exhausted to be completely honest. The build for this moment has been so great, it had me thinking about my favorite ones in the MCU so far.

Here are the top 5 movies for the MCU to this point.

Reason 1: Captain America: Civil War

I am not a huge Steve Rogers fan. But, i’ll be honest this won’t be the last time you see me mention a Captain America movie. This movie was probably the best put together comic movie ever made. It had all the elements of a great movie, while also being a comic book super hero movie. The story line, the dope cameos, and most importantly the action was spot on. This was like an Avengers 2.5 style of movie. The only people missing were Thor and Hulk, whom we figure out later were on a different planet. All around fantastic movie.
