R&B singer August Alsina has stepped forward to speak out on making headlines over the summer after experiencing a publicized seizure in New York.
Instead of breaking down from the experience, August said he took it as a sign from a higher power.
“I don’t live in the moment. I miss everything. So for that to happen to me, it was very, very humbling, but in the same breath, it was a sign of God saying, ‘You a king. Now go back and live as a king and do it the right way.'” (“The Breakfast Club”)

Alsina also talked about what he dreamed of during his coma.
“I knew I was cool. I knew that I’d be fine,” he said. “It’s shit like that that show me each and every day that there’s something so much bigger than us in this world.” (“The Breakfast Club”)
Alsina jumped onto his Twitter page to break some heartbreaking news to United Kingdom fans about missing comedian Kevin Hart‘s “HartBeat Weekend” last month.
Apologies to my London/UK fans, @KevinHart4real and #HartBeatWeekend. Docs advised me not to fly, so my performance tomorrow is canceled.

Alsina’s camp also issued a statement to address his condition.
“Due to the well-publicized fall from a stage in New York last month which caused August to be hospitalized for more than a week, his medical team has advised him that it would be unwise to travel such distance so soon into his recovery.” (Billboard)
