Ash said he has a couple new projects coming out soon including the newly named sophomre LP, Is This Too Orange.

“I got two projects coming out. Nobody knows this by the way. We have a joint called Paps & Jazz, which is just a mixtape,” Ash revealed in an interview. “[The Cool Kids’] Chuck Inglish is on it, Blended Babies and a lot of my homies are just jamming, chill, stream-of-conscious stuff. And then we have the new album Is This Too Orange…I was waking up and it just came to me. It turns out that orange is the color of the creative chakra.” (Power 106 FM)

Last fall, Ash said he had no plans to rush out his forthcoming LP.

I’m not just trying to put out a song, make quick money and get out of here,” Roth promised in an interview. “I wanna put something together that’s gonna last, that people are going to appreciate, listen to and they’re going to break it down. Personally, I love it when people take the time to break it down, every single song on the album — we’re making the best music with the people that want to be a part of it. Not just, ‘Hey, can I get a quick check and get out of here.’ Anybody who knows me knows that I have no budget at all. Anybody within this circle of friends knows I’m working purely off a wing and a prayer. But yo, it’s been fun…” (Vlad TV)

He also previously hinted at a few guest features the album would offer.

“We haven’t really got there yet. Not yet. Game got on ‘Splish Splash’ because he was just there in the studio. I think it’s great to make the music and then figure out who would sound good on what. Robin Thicke did get on one though, but we’ll see if it’ll stick around. I just linked up with Cannon and I still want will.i.am to come holla at me because I want to talk some “Joints and Jams” type sh*t. He’s super talented. It really just comes down if they want to do it or not at this point. I don’t have big money. I mean wish I could say lets get in the studio for a million dollars but it’s just not like that.” (VIBE)

Last summer, Roth said he was working with a variety of producers.

XXL Freshman alum Asher Roth is preparing to drop his sophomore album, The Spaghetti Tree. He recently spoke with DJ Skee, giving some details on the album, including that he’s working with a range of producers including Nottz, DJ Khalil, Ryan Leslie, Don Cannon and Oren Yoel, who handled the bulk of production on Asher’s 2009 debut, Asleep in the Bread Aisle. “The second time around, the sound is esoteric,” the Pennsylvania native told Skee. “It’s spacey. It’s dope, though. But it also has this really earthy, organic sound. So, if that even makes any sense, it’s kind of the air and the earth.” (XXL Mag)

A release date has not yet been announced.
