Wu-Tang Clan leader RZA can breathe a bit easier this week with police making an arrest in a multiple stabbing case at his New Jersey home.

According to reports, cops have arrested a 23-year-old suspect.

New Jersey state police have made an arrest in the stabbings of two people that occurred during a party at the New Jersey home of Wu-Tang Clan rapper RZA. A 23-year-old man, Thomas Norman, has been charged with aggravated assault and weapons counts. His bail was set at $120,000. (The Guardian)

Details of the New Jersey stabbing surfaced online a couple days ago.

New Jersey State Police responded to a report of a stabbing at a Deer Trail Drive home at 1:18 a.m. on Saturday, said Sgt. Gregory Williams, a State Police spokesman. When authorities arrived, they found two men stabbed, he said. He said the two men sustained serious injuries and were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. (NJ)

A few weeks ago, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (P.E.T.A.) honored the hip-hop veteran.

Taking the stage to accept his award, the Wu-Tang Clan star said, “I would like to thank PETA for honoring me with a Humanitarian Award. It’s an award that does not aim to reflect my art—it instead reflects my heart. With the abundance of … alternatives, I don’t think it’s mandatory to kill animals in order … to thrive and survive. And, more importantly, it’s definitely not mandatory to kill each other.” (PETA)

Last year, RZA and Wu member Masta Killa kicked meats out of their diets.

The musician understands that the choices he makes in his own life can either contribute to or help alleviate the pain and suffering that animals experience at the hands of the meat industry. RZA, along with PETA friend Masta Killa and other Wu-Tang members, has chosen to live better today, knowing that it’ll truly make for a better tomorrow. And he hopes others will be inspired to go vegan to help to save the lives of animals and for their own well-being. (PETA)
