Young Money’s Drake could be set for a huge payday with reports claiming technology giant Apple is willing to offer him nearly $20 million for an iTunes deal.

According to reports, Apple is cutting deals left and right with music superstars like Drizzy to join its team.

Apple is in talks to sign a rumored $19 million deal to get “Started From the Bottom” rapper Drake as a guest DJ for iTunes Radio, among other things. Drake is just one of a host of artists Apple wants to snag for its huge all-encompassing assault on the music front. Pharrell Williams, who touted the Apple Watch on “The Voice” last month, and French DJ David Guetta are also in talks to get on board, several music industry sources say. (New York Post)

Back in April, Drizzy showed off his love for Apple by donning its pricey iWatch at music festival Coachella.

Yep, Queen Bey leads the pack of Apple Watch fans, sporting her custom gold version with a whimsical feathered headband. And she’s in good company, with Drake sporting his own Apple arm dud at Coachella. And fashion elites, take note: Even Karl Lagerfeld is sporting the watch, ergo it must be a worthy style investment. Recent reports claimed rap star Kanye West and Apple were in business talks.

ON THE ROCS: Kanye West is making changes, distancing himself from Tidal, firing Roc Nation and managing himself, with an unofficial assist from the Jenner-Kardashian clan. As for Kanye’s long-delayed album, there’s some chatter that the release will be connected to Apple Music’s launch. (Hits Daily Double)

Earlier this year, reports claimed Apple had reached out to various music stars including country star Taylor Swift about potential exclusive partnerships.

Apple Inc has approached more than a dozen musicians, including British band Florence and the Machine, in an effort to sign exclusive deals for some of their music to be streamed on Beats, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter. The company is in talks with Florence and the Machine to give Apple limited streaming rights to a track from their album set to be released in June, Bloomberg said. (Huffington Post)

  1. Hov is about to change the game yet again for the better. Now these companies are going to start cutting the checks they have been holding out on for decades.

  2. Good news for Drake but still wondering when these companies are gonna realise that the way to stay ahead of the game is to seek and invest in the next big thing. There’s an independent artist somewhere out there right now that could give Apple an edge with probably less than 10% of that proposed Drake investment.

  3. Jay is changing the game. All services will be at a charge because they can’t afford to cut checks with cutting into profits. when profits are cut the costs are past on to customers aka streaming will not be free.

  4. Tidal what? Lol Apple does not play when it comes to business that’s why they will remain the #1 company in the world. Drake jordan Brand deal came when Kanye ego towards Nike hit the fan now this.
