Days after Young Money’s Widner “Flow” DeGruy was named as a suspect in a homicide case, another male has been dragged into the case.

Heading into the weekend, Louisiana police provided an update on the double murder investigation.

New Orleans police on Friday (June 5) named 18-year-old Jonathan Evans as the second suspect accused of joining rap artist Widner DeGruy in gunning down two brothers who were found fatally shot last month in eastern New Orleans. NOPD homicide detectives said they have obtained arrest warrants for DeGruy and Evans alleging second-degree murder in connection with the shootings of 18-year-old Kendred Bishop and his 22-year-old brother Kendrick, an aspiring rapper known as “Muddy Cup Buddy.” (NOLA)

Details of the arrest warrant for Flow bubbled online this week.

Kendrick and Kendred Bishop, ages 22 and 18, were found shot early May 25 inside a black Kia sedan in the 4800 block of Bright Drive in eastern New Orleans. Both died there, police said. Investigators have not released information on a motive for the shooting. NOPD said surveillance video showed Degruy, 23, and a second unidentified suspect “possibly running from the scene and making a purchase at a nearby store.” (NOLA)

Last week, Flow posted up a Rest In Peace message onto his Instagram page.

Flow’s run with rap star Lil Wayne and Young Money dates back to 2012.

Flow, 23, signed to Young Money Entertainment in 2012 and made his first appearance on record with Weezy on Wayne’s Sorry 4 The Wait mixtape in July 2011 on “Inkredible (Remix),” then appeared on Wayne’s Dedication 4 mixtape on the track “Magic” as well as Young Money’s Rise Of An Empire (“Fresher Than Ever”). One year ago today, on June 3, 2014, he released his Withdrawals mixtape—presented by Young Money/Cash Money and The Flamez—which featured Chanel West Coast, Cory Gunz, Kidd Kidd, Shy Glizzy and fellow Young Money protege Euro, among others.
