Rap newcomer Aminé has mixed feeling about XXL‘s Freshman Class of 2017 list. Despite landing on the prestigious cover, the West Coast artist lashed out against the publication for its rollout.
New footage has emerged of A scolding XXL for surprising him with the induction without a proper heads up.
“XXL I am very happy, I’m honored actually, but I’m disappointed. Like, y’all wasn’t finna tell me that we did a whole a** photo shoot. When, when did this happen? Basically, my thoughts on this matter is if I show up to your doorstep with a whole a** pony you’d be like, ‘Oh my God, it’s a pony! Thank-you!’ It’d be nice to know, you know, a week in advance that you was going to give me a pony . So XXL I’ma have my people call your people.”
