Former video vixen Amber Rose hushes her haters up in the upcoming October/November issue of XXL by addressing the perception of hopping from rapper to rapper.
Based on an excerpt from her cover story, Rose admits she fell in love with Cameron Thomaz, the person, and not his on-stage Wiz Khalifa rap persona.
“[H]e’s just a genuine sweet guy. And that’s what made me fall in love with him. And I just said, “You know what, I don’t care if he’s a rapper.” I don’t care if people say, “Oh, you’re a gold-digger.” I don’t care if people say, “Oh, you went from one rapper to another,” or whatever. I love him. I don’t look at him as a rapper. I look at him as Cameron Thomaz, not even Wiz Khalifa. I just fell so deeply in love with him, I didn’t care what anyone says.” (XXL Magazine)
Recently, both Rose and Khalifa delved into their deep love for one another.
“He’s so special,” Amber says of her man. “These b*tches shouldn’t even be around him. They’re not cool enough to be in his presence. It’s like, ew, stay away.” And stay away he does. “I don’t look at no girls. All I look at is my fiancée,” says Wiz. “I don’t got no reason to look at other girls. It’s weird to some people, but to us it’s the right thing. It’s how much we love each other.” Just how much does Wiz love Amber? He doesn’t even peep cell phone pictures of groupies. “Groupies? I don’t do that,” he says with disdain. “My girl said to me, ‘Baby, these b*tches don’t even deserve to breathe your air.’ And I was like, ‘You know what? A few weeks ago, Khalifa discussed preparing to welcome in a new baby boy alongside his soon-to-be wife.
“We found out this summer, and it was more of a celebration than anything,” the rapper shared backstage with MTV News correspondent Jim Cantiello after Thursday night’s 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. “I did a backflip; she was doing this little dance that we made up.” Rose chimed in: “It’s called the monkey butt dance!” Celebratory gymnastics aside, Khalifa said he doesn’t expect that his life will slow down because he’s going to be a dad: “I’ve been pretty focused my entire life, and now that I have a family, I’m just going to keep that focus, but it’s going to be a family focus.” (MTV)
Over the winter, the Taylor Gang leader reflected on their first date.
“It was when I was moving out to L.A. and she had actually already lived there at the time and we lived in Hollywood. We were trying to find a nice little spot to get something to eat- something low key. We just went to Mel’s diner, sat down, got some turkey burgers and some strawberry lemonade … and that was our first date.” (Global Grind)
