According to JC, they kicked back and watched flicks when the news broke out of the mega deal.

“The day after it came out, that the Beats and Apple thing was happening, I think me and Dre watched ‘Neighbors,’ the movie with — who was that? Seth Rogen and Zac Efron,” Jon Connor told MTV News with a laugh. “We watched ‘Neighbors.’ It was cool. We was having fun. We just watched a movie after it happened. It was another day. He was extremely happy about it.” (MTV)

Along with the Doc, Connor also applauded former Interscope Records CEO Jimmy Iovine on the landmark achievement.

“It couldn’t have happened to a more deserving person,” he said. “Him and Jimmy [Iovine], they done put in so much work. That’s like thirty years. They deserve everything that come to them.” (MTV)

Interscope’s Hit-Boy recently spoke to SOHH and shared a few thoughts on the music duo landing the $3 billion Apple deal.

“The Apple deal is amazing. That’s amazing, man. That’s amazing that they’re trying to better themselves and learn about technology and provide more for the youth and for the world. That’s what I’m into. So it’s all love, you know?” (SOHH)

Reports last month suggested the Doc and Iovine would play big roles at Apple.

Their titles: “Jimmy” and “Dre.” It’s a full-time gig for Mr. Iovine, who is leaving his post as chairman of Vivendi’s Interscope Records. Dre, whose real name is Andre Young, will continue to produce music but do “as much as it takes” for Apple. (No word on whether that includes creating and posting any Instagram videos.)
