Brooklyn rap newcomer Bobby Shmurda nearly had his career diminish in the blink of an eye after dodging gunfire during a New Jersey nightclub appearance early Thursday (August 28).
Details of the near-fatal incident have surfaced online and reveal Shmurda did not endure any gunshot wounds.
Police say shortly before 2 AM … someone driving out of the Club Eden parking lot in Roselle, NJ fired 2 shots … and set off a chaotic mess. Three different police departments had to respond to control the crowd. According to cops … about 200 people were packed in the lot and became “unruly and agitated” when officers tried to clear the area. Bobby was not there when cops responded. We’re told no one was struck by the bullets. (TMZ)
This week, Young Money’s Drake brought out Bobby for a New Jersey concert performance.
Meanwhile, on the “Drake vs. Lil Wayne” tour, the “hot boy” himself Bobby Shmurda was brought on stage by Drizzy to perform his hit song, “Hot N*gga.” Shmurda has constantly been on top or in the top three on the Billboard Emerging Artists charts and last night he joined Drizzy to shut down the stage in New Jersey. Recently, Brooklyn native Joell Ortiz Bobby had created an anthem as catchy as former Hot Boys member Juvenile’s late 90’s “Ha” classic.
“It was genuine. It wasn’t made up. It wasn’t gimmicky. It went cause it felt–Everybody liked it. For whatever reason. Nobody was listening like ‘Yo, you heard the bars?’ It was just a party in Flatbush. He made the world want to party on that block…Do y’all remember when we first saw Juvenile ‘Ha’ video? And you was like ‘That’s what New Orleans–That’s what they look like?’ Cause we didn’t really know. ‘That’s Magnolia? Like yo, they wild’…People stopped seeing what New York looked like, man. I’m happy.” (This Is 50 Radio)
Footage of rap star Lil Wayne dancing to Shmurda’s “Hot N*gga” tune surfaced earlier this summer.
We saw pictures yesterday, now here is some footage of Lil Wayne turning up at LIV nightclub in Miami, Florida on August 3rd for “LIV on Sundays”. Weezy F Baby was joined by Future, DJ Scoob Doo, Troy J, Super Hood, DJ Stevie J, Lil Twist, and Mack Maine, who was celebrating his 32nd birthday inside the club. In the clip, Tune can be seen smoking and performing songs such as “Believe Me” and “Karate Chop”, but then when Bobby Shmurda’s “Hot Nigga” track starts to play, him and his homies all take their shirts off and go crazy!
