R&B singer August Alsina is back to his high-energy ways following a publicized hospital stint for medical complications a few months ago by appearing in Chicago with music star Usher.

August shared the stage with fellow crooner Trey Songz last night (November 18) in Chi-Town.

Usher brought the “UR Experience” to Chicago’s United Center on Monday night, and he was joined by some special guests. After opening for Usher earlier in the evening, August Alsina returned to the stage along with Trey Songz to perform the remix to “I Luv This Sh*t,” and the ladies went wild. (Rap-Up)

Instead of breaking down from the experience, August recently said he took it as a sign from a higher power.

“I don’t live in the moment. I miss everything. So for that to happen to me, it was very, very humbling, but in the same breath, it was a sign of God saying, ‘You a king. Now go back and live as a king and do it the right way.'” (“The Breakfast Club”)

Alsina also talked about what he dreamed of during his coma.

“I knew I was cool. I knew that I’d be fine,” he said. “It’s shit like that that show me each and every day that there’s something so much bigger than us in this world.” (“The Breakfast Club”)

Alsina jumped onto his Twitter page to break some heartbreaking news to United Kingdom fans about missing comedian Kevin Hart‘s “HartBeat Weekend” last month.

Alsina’s camp also issued a statement to address his condition.

“Due to the well-publicized fall from a stage in New York last month which caused August to be hospitalized for more than a week, his medical team has advised him that it would be unwise to travel such distance so soon into his recovery.” (Billboard)
