Last month, former Hot 97 veteran Mister Cee talked about leaving the cherished station.

“I would love to continue to be on radio if the opportunity arises. I would love to do radio whether it’s on-air or [other] programming. I would love to take a shot at being a program director or a music director at a radio station. I would love to continue to be in the music industry in any form. If an offer came to me in regards to working at a record label, depending on the situation, I would love to. Music is in my blood. I’m still going to DJ parties. I’m still booked up to DJ parties.” (XXL Mag)

Last summer reports claimed Angie’s new salary had doubled since joining New York radio station Power 105.1.

Music insiders are buzzing that when popular disc jockey Angie Martinez jumped ship to Power 105. 1 two weeks ago, after 15 years at Hot 97, she doubled her pay. Sources tell Page Six that Clear Channel, which owns Power 105.1, offered Martinez a figure in the “high six figures.” Martinez, who was a co-host of Hot 97’s “Afternoon Drive” broadcast with DJ Enuff, will be hosting two four-hour shows in New York and Miami (Martinez’s rep had no comment). 1. he said something on the Podcast that sounded like 105 called him before Angie…i need clarification!

  2. Real talk Hot 97 themselves might be pushing these people out the door because they want to clean house.. I mean come on clearly they losing heavily in ratings to Power. So fuck it, out with the old and in with the new. If they get some fresh new people in there and bring back some authenticity then they climb the ladders and be back in the game in a couple of years.

  3. Cipha Sounds got gassed..Who cares tho really, Ciph never made no IMPACT..jus a yes man, youzaboss at best, horrible dj and as a host i give him a C- at best..good that he left ..time for someone else to have an opportunity..Peter Rosenberg should leave too and Ebro should not be allowed on a microphone on air EVER!! His thoughts and opinions are elementary and hogwash
