According to reports, Lindsay believes the GTA V makers used her image to help push the title.

Lindsay Lohan has called in her lawyers to take action against ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ … claiming video game honchos jacked her image without her permission … TMZ has learned. Sources tell us, Lohan’s lawyers are currently crafting a lawsuit — demanding Rockstar Games pay some serious money for using Lindsay’s image in the game. So the question … did ‘GTAV’ really use Lindsay. Here’s the evidence: — The video game cover shows a woman holding a cellphone who looks Lindsay-ish. There’s been debate over whether it looks more like Kate Upton or Shelby Welinder. — Part of the game features a mission where a Lindsay Lohan look-alike asks the player to take her home and escape the paparazzi. Reports also claim there are various in-game instances with direct connections to Lohan.

– Another part of the game shows another Lindsay-like character at a hotel resembling the Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood — a place Lindsay not only frequents but once lived at — and the mission is to photograph her having sex on camera. No word on whether ‘GTAV’ execs will pay Lindsay or tell her lawyers to pound sand. (TMZ)

Back in October, Daz Dillinger discussed his issues with Rockstar using his music without permission.

“They had no permission to put my music in there,” Daz Dillinger revealed in an interview. “So, we’re playing the video game and, ‘Bam.’ And, all the fans were telling me about the stuff. They were hitting me up like, ‘It’s more like a Dogg Pound Grand Theft Auto.’ I’m like, ‘Damn. How’d they get all my songs up in there? So, I had to do an investigation and make it happen.” (HHDX)

Despite the negative situations, GTA V has remained a hit at retail outlets since its September release.

Rockstar Games Grand Theft Auto V has officially hit $1 billion in sales in just three days. Take-Two Interactive has officially announced more than $1 billion in sales of Grand Theft Auto V durings its first three days on sale. The company believe “this marks the fastest than any entertainment property, including video games and feature films, has reached this significant milestone.” According to an LA Times report last year Call of Duty: Black Ops managed to earn $1 billion, but on its 15th day on sale. Chairman and CEO of Take-Two, Strauss Zeinick, states “Grand Theft Auto is a cultural phenomenon and Rockstar Games continues to redefine what can be achieved in interactive entertainment. We are incredibly proud of the extraordinary critical and commercial response to Grand Theft Auto V.” (T3)
