New York rapper Action Bronson‘s profile may have just gone up a few notches thanks to a shout-out from Hollywood actress Susan Sarandon on Twitter this week.
The famous actress singled out Bronson and fellow Big Apple rapper A$AP Rocky for a reference in 2013’s “1 Train.”
Bronson almost immediately responded to Sarandon with a reference to her 1991 flick, Thelma & Louise.
Bronson notably name-drops Sarandon on Rocky’s hit track.
“You see us scrambling, selling Susan Sarandon,” Bronson raps. “The cloud of smoke like the Phantom.” (“1 Train)
The actress is reportedly known for supporting marijuana legalization.
Earlier this year, she told High Times magazine it was “absurd” that pot wasn’t legal in the U.S. “It’s also a lovely way to socialize and be with people, and to be with yourself and distress,” she said. (NY Daily News)
