A$AP Mob leader A$AP Rocky recently talked about the passing of fellow New York rapper Chinx months after losing his own pal A$AP Yams.

Rocky compared the passing of French Montana‘s protégé to the loss of A$AP Mob’s founder earlier this year.

“I know French more than I know Chinx, but I know Chinx. My heart goes to him, my heart goes to French, and Chinx is family, all the Coke Boys. We just went through the same situation–as far as losing somebody, not the circumstances of how it happened.” (Whoolywood Shuffle)

Arrests went down at French Montana’s Chinx tribute music video last weekend.

Three men and two women — including the set security guard — were facing weapons and drug charges after plainclothes cops infiltrated the shoot behind a Fulton St. Bravo Supermarket in East New York at about 6:15 p.m. and spotted the illegal hardware, officials said. Cocaine, marijuana and molly were also discovered, officials said. (NY Daily News)

Montana posted up on-set pictures from the music video’s production onto Instagram.

Family members and friends paid homage to Chinx at a funeral service in New York last Tuesday (May 26).

Family and friends are gathering Tuesday to bid a final farewell to a Queens rapper who was murdered in his car. Lionel Pickens, 31, was shot and killed May 17 in a drive-by shooting. Services are being held at the Greater Allen AME Cathedral of New York in Jamaica. (ABC 7)
