A$AP Rocky Says Read His Lips: “COZY TAPE FINALLY FINISHED!”

New York rapper A$AP Rocky has delivered a huge announcement. This weekend, the A$AP Mob leader revealed his crew’s long-awaited Cozy Tape project is completed.

Rocky went to Twitter Saturday (October 15) and broke the news.

A few weeks ago, A$AP Mob’s A$AP Ferg promised fans would soon hear the follow-up to 2012’s Lords Never Worry mixtape.

“Yeah the album is dropping soon, we actually shot the album cover already and everything is getting edited and mixed up and everything. I don’t know exactly when it’s dropping, I don’t have a date, I’m the wrong person to ask… I presume it’s coming out soon ‘cos we shot the cover. This album is gonna be called… ‘The Cozy Tape'” (Triple J)

As of late, Ferg has clocked in studio time with producers Dr. Dre and Alchemist.

Recently, A$AP Rocky joined forces with MTV with a multi-year executive deal.

“I think we need to get people more in tune with vignettes, video clips,” the musician said in an interview. “That’s really going to be my strong suit.” MTV has signed A$AP Rocky to a two-year deal under which he will devise original concepts, experiment with programming and various pieces of MTV intellectual property, and develop content for advertisers. He and his company, AWGE, will form a venture called MTV Labs, billed as a “creative incubator” unit. (Variety)
