Barring any last-minute changes, gamers will hear rappers like A$AP Rocky, Tyler, the Creator and more emcees grace the score.

Grand Theft Auto V will feature new tracks by a notably Los Angeles-centric group of artists including Health (who scored Rockstar’s “Max Payne” game), Off!, Tyler the Creator, Hanni al Khatib and Freddie Gibbs, as well as Atlanta rapper Killer Mike, New York rapper A$AP Rocky, bedroom dance-soul artist Twin Shadow and Brooklyn indie rock band Yeasayer. As well, producers have commissioned scores for some missions. “We thought we could do something interesting if we scored missions in GTA,” series producer and writer Don Houser told the Guardian in the spring, though at that point they’d yet to determine a balance between original music and radio stations. “Obviously we didn’t want to lose radio stations, so we thought we’d do both,” he said. An A$AP track promptly titled “Untitled” from GTA V premiered online this weekend.

Harlem is in the building today as the one and only A$AP Rocky returns with something new for our ears to devour. Rocky returns to the interwebs with a new track called “Untitled”, for our listening enjoyment. The track is due to be on the upcoming soundtrack for the video game, Grand Theft Auto V. “Untitled” is a gritty, highly addictive, menacing beat full of dark bouncing, beeping synths and dark drum work that Rocky effortlessly does his thing upon. He floats on the track and drop something that will fit nicely with the game play of the Soundtrack it resides. (Stupid Dope)

According to reports, Sony Playstation is responsible for the album’s score leaking.

Yesterday, a digital file of the game was inadvertently made available through the Europe PlayStation Store to those who had preordered the game there. Gamers mined the files for details, discovering the main theme and other features (warning: there are spoilers at that link and potentially in the comments beneath). Bottom line, there is spoiler material out in the wild, and if you don’t want any aspect of the game ruined for you, don’t go googling for it. (Kotaku)

The mega technology company has since issued a public statement addressing its fault.

“Regrettably, some people who downloaded the digital pre-order of Grand Theft Auto V through the PlayStation Store in Europe were able to access certain GTA V assets. These assets were posted online. We have since removed the digital pre-order file from the PlayStation Store in Europe. We sincerely apologize to Rockstar and GTA fans across the world who were exposed to the spoiler content. GTA V is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year with a very passionate following, and we’re looking forward to a historic launch on September 17.” (Statement)
