New York rapper A$AP Ferg recently talked about his love for fashion and why he doesn’t feel pressured to change his look despite A$AP Mob leader A$AP Rocky‘s trendy ways.

With endless fashion brands to choose from, Ferg revealed what companies he currently wears.

“I like Alexander Wang, it’s real quality. I also like the Gap. I was a Gap kid, you know, like you have those hoodies forever. Everyone had a Gap piece. And Ralph Lauren. There’s a kid who grew up in the Bronx and became a success. Ralph is my top guy. He figured it out, you know, how to own a brand that’s available at every price, which means you can afford to do the fun stuff at the top end but still pay the bills. I like Acne jeans, too, because I love the way they perform, and obviously Astrid for everything else.” (The Guardian)

Ferg also explained why he doesn’t feel pressured to out-dress artists A$AP Rocky and Kanye West.

“I don’t feel pressure. I do what I like. I don’t dress to anyone’s standards. If you wear a white T-shirt with confidence, that’s all you need. Growing up, a white T-shirt was it. A fresh white T-shirt and a haircut meant you were doing good. But Rocky and Kanye, they look fly, they know what they’re doing. I don’t think it’s forced, it’s like natural style for them. It’s just that fashion’s just taking notice.” (The Guardian)

Recently, the New York rapper talked about A$AP Rocky’s new A.L.L.A. album and the status of A$AP Mob.

“Rocky album is sounding crazy. It sound like Rocky sound, but to the 10th power, so imagine what that sounds like. Everything you love when we all first came out on the scene, times 10,” Ferg said referring to A.L.L.A. “Everybody individually have their mixtapes practically done already, we just trying to figure out who’s going to come first. Visuals. But as far as the A$AP Mob album, we still working on it. We got some crazy sh*t.” (XXL Mag)

In March, Ferg spoke on the passing of A$AP Mob founder A$AP Yams.

“I feel his spirit every time I walk out the house,” Ferg tells VIBE. “I talk to his moms like every day. There’s not a day that goes past that I don’t think about Yams. Like I said on my Instagram, ‘Your body is just a shell, your spirit is here forever.’ I really believe that Yams is still here with us, rockin’ with us. He’s the reason why we’re always safe at our shows, and why we keep climbin’ to the top. He foreseen a lot of this stuff. He was Yoda, bro.” (VIBE)
