[With the annual A3C Fest kicking off today (October 7) in Atlanta, festival director Mike Walbert tells SOHH why every attendee should download the A3C app before heading out.]
The app is essential. If I came to A3C without the app, I would be lost. There’s so much going on that you have to create your own schedule, you have to plan ahead, you have to plan where you’re going to eat.
There’s so much happening everyday from 11 AM to 3 AM that if you sleep on things, don’t plan ahead or don’t have the app on you, you’ll be lost at A3C.
We’re going to have schedules, giveaways, push notifications and a lot more to help your experience at A3C.
There’s always last-minute things that can happen like if an artist hits us up and says, “Hey, I’m in town, what can I do?” We might throw that up on the app.
That’s the type of stuff we like to do with the app. It is the central guide to A3C.
I can’t stress that enough.
It’s only the second year we’ve had that. Before that we had paper pamphlets and what we saw was that they weren’t being used and they weren’t being used properly.
Often times, since we are always updating things, it didn’t always have the most up-to-date information. The app is awesome for us.
We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without it.
