If I had to pick one song to talk about it would have to be the song “We Might Die.” I recently released the visual for it on Vimeo. It’s directed by Spike Jordan. You gotta check it out.

This song is close to me because it’s actually the last song I wrote with my writing partner Jimme Wallstreet and he was murdered in Philly. The song title is “We Might Die” but the way we wrote it, Jimme said, “We might die, but don’t kill me today.”

All I remember is that moment in the studio, I sat out and recorded it with a handheld mic. I didn’t really think about what I was saying. I was just saying what I was feeling and when it was done, we felt it was a masterpiece. I didn’t know that would be the last song I would write with my brother Jimme Wallstreet.

It just brought that lyric to life, “We might die today,” and the song is really my life at that moment. That song really has a lot of meaning to me.
