R&B singer Tank is making some negative headlines this week after reportedly being arrested in California over a cell phone incident.
According to reports, Tank ran into trouble with law enforcement after being busted talking on his phone Thursday (October 2).
The R&B crooner was in Van Nuys, Calif. when officers spotted him driving while using his cell phone, which is illegal in California. The 38-year-old, born Durrell Babbs, was pulled over by cops and asked to provide his driver’s license. He allegedly refused and was arrested for failing to obey an officer. He is currently in custody. (Rap-Up)
Tank made headlines over the summer with this NBA boycott…
Over the summer, Tank announced a boycott during the now-infamous leaked audio of ex-Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling’s phone conversation.
“This is why we stand and fight! I applaud the commissioner and I look forward to the owners pushing him completely out!! #clippers #stand,” he wrote on April 29 via Instagram.
“To be heard! To be understood! For our stand to be recognized! Now we support OUR TEAM!! #weareone #clippers” (Tank’s Instagram)
Tank also addressed the ban via his Twitter page and confirmed he would not perform the National Anthem.
“I will not be singing the anthem but I am extremely happy with the results!! I will be wearing my #clippers jersey tonight!!” (Tank’s Twitter)
