Young Buck’s financial woes have taken center stage as he attempts to address his debts and reconcile with 50 Cent. Having filed for bankruptcy in 2020, the former G-Unit artist reportedly owed music to the label but failed to deliver, resulting in legal complications. Under the label, Young Buck was assigned to create two albums but could not fulfill his obligations, leaving him with a $250,000 loan hanging over his head.

Young Buck has turned to his music catalog to alleviate his financial burden. Valued at $750,000, the catalog is a potential asset that could help him settle his debts. By selling the rights to his music, the “Shorty Wanna Ride” rapper aims to repay the money owed to the now-TV mogul and move forward with his career.

The feud between Young Buck and 50 Cent extends beyond financial matters. The Nashville native has made accusations of ghostwriting against 50 Cent, claiming that he has written a significant portion of 50 Cent’s lyrics without receiving proper credit. These allegations have further fueled tensions between the two artists and added another layer to their ongoing dispute.

50 Cent Threatens Young Buck With Legal Action

The saga of rap rivals Young Buck and 50 Cent continues. New reports reveal Fif might be uping the anti and taking the Nashville rapper to court.

50 Cent Considering Legal Action

Fifty is reportedly considering suing Young Buck for $250,000, which he allegedly owes Curtis Jackson – the whole “owning money” topic Buck has called “bullsh*t” previously. The amount comes from a 2014 loan that the latter defaulted on.

50’s lawyers say they are currently investigating the matter and need additional time to determine the best plan of attack. The court is giving 50 until October to decide whether or not to bring a suit. The crux of the case is the $250,000 the Power actor loaned to Buck. 50 says Buck entered into a recording contract with G-Unit in 2014. He says prior to the recording contract being executed, 50 paid Buck a total of $250,000. (Radar)

Buck also revealed in a 2020 interview that Fif was still trying to get money from him, and even added that he tried to pay Fif at one point. He didn’t get specific on the matter though.

“Homie claimed that I had owed him and sh*t, all of that bullsh*t. I know I don’t owe n*gga but even me at a point of time… I got to the place where I was like, you know what, I just want to get the work, fu*k it, I’ll pay him. So I even got to a point where I even tried to pay the n*gga.” – Young Buck

Young Buck Dismisses Haters On ‘Public Opinion’

The Southern hip-hop veteran is back. The day after his former friend turned rap rival 50 Cent took another social media potshot at him in late June 2021, Buck dropped a combative new song called “Public Opinion” and announced his new EP was dropping on July 2.

“People be doing the most / Especially with these social media posts / You see me, I’m a ghost / When there’s beef I approach / Any member of your team / Bring it straight to your coach”

Buckling Down On 50 Cent Accusations

For someone who earlier this year claimed his beef with 50 Cent was fake, Buck sounds like he has real problems with his ex-boss. The Tennessee native doubled down on prior claims that he’s ghostwritten 50’s rhymes and hasn’t gotten credit (or cash).

“I wrote 50 music, bro. I done wrote full songs where you n*ggas is listening to 50 rap my words. Word for word. The n*gga might change one here or a line here, but when you listen to the ‘Too Rich’ song, that’s just off of my head, that’s just one I inked from top to bottom.”

In addition, the BET Award nominee said he hasn’t been paid for his contributions to 50 Cent’s catalog.

“No credit, no nothing for it. Just like the ‘Can’t Lose’ record that was released under G-Unit. I ain’t seen a check from that shit and G-Unit released that.”

Young Buck Says Beef W/ 50 Cent Was Staged

Buck Marley went to his Instagram page in March 2021 to talk about where things really stand between him and Fif. Without getting too specific, YB claims they never had any true issues with one another.

“We planned that sh*t. We don’t got no motherf*cking beef. … We done played y’all motherf*cking a**. You motherf*ckers are running around and just like, ‘God d*mn, man.’ The whole time, bro. You dig? The whole time y’all thinking whatever the f*ck y’all thinking.”
