Here are 7 monumental moments from the first season of WandaVision.

1. It’s All Wanda

Even before WandaVision began, we had so many questions about what was happening and just where is this unexplainable tv show coming from. Ever since her debut into the MCU in a post-credit scene at the end of 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, I’ve wondered how powerful the Scarlet Witch would be. Or better, how powerful would Marvel Studios allow her to be?

Early on we see telekinesis and mind control… you know what? That’s for another discussion. Number one for me is that Wanda‘s powers were addressed, Chaos Magic was confirmed, and we got origin story for both Wanda and Agatha!

2. Agatha Harkness’s Origin!

It’s a fair rule (if I might), where typically, with your magic based characters… the older a wielder of the power set gets, the more powerful they become in their mastery of that power. For example, the Marvel character known as The Ancient One, who guided & groomed Dr. Stephen Strange to becoming the Sorcerer Supreme. At the beginning of WandaVision episode 8 we learn that Agatha Harkness is a witch dating back to time where they wore colonial garb. Say… 17th century?! Her mother and their coven tried to destroy Agatha because of her connections with dark magics. Turns out, that didn’t work out so well for them.

3. Monica Rambeau Becomes Spectrum!

In the comics, Monica Rambeau is a heavy hitter, ya’ll! Her mom was Maria “Photon” Rambeau, best friend and air force buddy to Captain Marvel! So the big question with the introduction of any super character is… “So what do they do? What’s their power?” Well, what’s better than one OP (OverPowered) character that is basically a living battery capable of absorbing, storing, & re-purposing any energy used against them?! You guessed it! Why have only one Captain Marvel when you can have Captain Marvel II? Better question: Why not?

4. The Snap Back!

Hadn’t given it much thought up until I saw this scene. But seeing everybody that Thanos snapped out of MCU existence in Infinity War come BACK after Hulk‘s snap in Endgame… kind of intense!

5. Vision VS. Vision!

In one corner we have Vision, created by Wanda’s powers & her image and memories of him. In the other corner we have Vision, re-created by Tyler Hayward and his S.W.O.R.D. team. The white Vision is the original vibranium built synthezoid created by Ultron. I have to say, I wasn’t ready for this fight at all! After the dust settled with Vision coming out as the clear winner, I had to ask myself, where TF did the white Vision go?!

6. The Quicksilver Sneaky!

Not gonna lie. They got me with this one. The kid that plays Pietro Maximoff, Wanda’s brother… Quicksilver… from the X-Men movies… Evan Peters is going to play that role in the MCU‘s WandaVision?! Well, he did… sort of. Listen, ya’ll, it’s a lot to unbox with this little X-Universe tease, mutant easter egg, bs, let’s-stir-some-isht-up sneak move that Marvel Studios fumbled here, but this video gives a better idea of what happened and addresses some interesting theories!

7. Did Somebody Say Mutants?

https://youtu.be/qwOjxkeCNJg

Longtime Marvel fans have been patiently waiting for days when X-Men characters get a chance to go toe-to-toe with some of the Avengers and those times might not be so far off. With confirmation by Marvel Studios that Deadpool 3 will take place in the MCU, we all know it’s coming! In a flashback during Wanda’s origin story, we learn that she had access to Hex Magic even when she was a small child. So that was WAY before Hydra ever experimented on her with the mind stone. Is this the proof that fans need to believe that mutants do actually exist in the MCU? Or is this just more filler story for Feige and Marvel Studios to keep fans buzzing? WandaVision answered many of the questions it proposed at the beginning of the series, but it seems to have raised even more now that it’s complete. I got questions, ya’ll!
