G-Unit leader 50 Cent's son, Marquise Jackson, recently talked about basketball footage of himself sprouting online and why it could potentially land him a college scholarship.

According to Jackson, he hopes his basketball skills can separate his automatic connection to his world famous dad.

“I mean, it’s a blessing man. I pray for stuff like this, I’m just happy I’m able to play ball and do something I love. … A lot of people, they come up to me and say it’s ‘cause of my Dad or they think I’m not good but at the end of the day I show I could play. … There’s a lot of schools I like, a lot of big-time schools I like. I just really look forward to receiving an athletic scholarship wherever I go.” (TMZ)

Marquise’s basketball footage sprouted online earlier this month.

50 Cent’s son Marquise Jackson is a 5’9 senior point guard at St John’s Military Academy. This weekend Marquise showed that he could knock down threes and run a team. Last season he averaged 19.1 points per game, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists on his way to 1st Team All Region at King’s Ridge Christian Academy in Alpharetta, Georgia. (Raise Da Bar)

A photo of Marquise and boxing champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr. hanging out together surfaced back in September.

Marquise posted a photo to his Facebook page …. hangin’ with FLOYD MAYWEATHER!! Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know 50 and Floyd hate each other’s guts … so for Marquise to post this pic — clearly, he’s trying to get under his father’s skin. 50 and Marquise have a complicated relationship — 50 hates Marquise’s mother … and hasn’t really been a part of Marquise’s life … something Marquise admits he’s very upset about. 50 Cent rival Slowbucks publicly released a shot of Marquise onto social media earlier the same month.

My lil bro @199viq came threw 2day & kicked it with me .. 1. thats mostly black folks because we got that crab mentality. Im sure if he’s that good they will put him on on his own merit.

  2. If they offer that scholarship he better go to the school but leave the scholarship for someone who actually needs help with college tuition

  3. I find this a little bit disrespectful towards 50. Dude had the best education payed for by his dad. He passed by himself but he had all the resources thanks to 50. If his dad can put him on the B ball court whats wrong with that? A lot of good B ball players but not all of them are getting that chance. Nothing wrong with having connections. We all achieved some things in life thanks to connects. I know I did.

    • shut up. he didnt disrespect him. he just dont want people to over look how good he is at playing ball.

  4. Fiddy ain’t even attend his graduation just because he doesn’t like his baby mom, wat a strange dude

  7. This dude wasn’t even recruited outta high school so he drops a mix tape with his daddys name in the title to get attention from Dem scouts SMH. Just anotha Romeo miller bench rida lol

  8. It isn’t disrespectful towards 50, its this young man wanting to make a name for himself in his own way. FYI 50 may have provided for him (via child support) but it takes a man not money to raise a child. As Homie said he didn’t even attend his only sons graduation because he doesn’t like his bm? Wtf how does that sound? I respect Lil 50 for trying to branch out on his own but posting pics with Floyd was very disrespectful no matter what that’s your pops and trying to hurt his image is the wrong way of trying to get him in your life
