G-Unit‘s 50 Cent is putting together quite possibly the biggest celebrity boxing match ever. The hip-hop veteran has announced a potential bout between 21 Savage and his nemesis 22 Savage.

Fif went to social media Friday (January 6) to dish out details on the Savage face-off.

“I just got off the phone with champ. So I’m going to give you the update, alright? We got a whole card now. We only had one fight. We had Chris Brown and Soulja Boy. Now we got – we’re trying to put together 21 Savage and 22 Savage. They’re going to fight for the name and then we’re only going to have one Savage.”

A few months ago, 22 told SOHH what it would take for him to work with 21.

“People respect me. They know my background. If there’s only one thing they know, it’s that this dude isn’t to be played with. It’s not just funny with me. I’ve got a serious side. My influences are the neighborhoods. Baton Rouge. Boosie. I grew up off of Boosie. I used to be around him for a minute so shout-out to him. Right now I don’t really know who I want to work with. I’m working with [my sidekick] Scratch Off right now, he’s really trying to scratch some things off. We’re really trying. First we’re going to get some hot sh*t on our own and then look at other options. … I don’t know about a 21 Savage collaboration right now. That’s up in the air. We’re gonna need a check. The haters can eat my d*ck. F*ck haters. They’re going to say whatever they want. I was hot before I started rapping.” (SOHH)

The rap newcomer also told SOHH what sparked his decision to steal 21’s alias.

“What people don’t understand is that underneath this funny, it’s really real. We’re in the streets. I’m a street n*gga trying to make it out anyway I can. Comedy was only a way out of here. Rapping was the meal ticket. I’m really in the streets. People know that Mike isn’t to be played with. That’s really what it is behind that funniness. I jacked 21 Savage’s name. I jacked him out of his name. I just changed the number. I just jacked him. He’s gotta take his licks. I just felt like jacking him. 22 Savage. I’m really a savage out here. I’m really in the slums. I’m in the trenches.” (SOHH)
