A trailer for the project was released on the Internet over the weekend.

50 Cent x Caught in the Crossfire. Here’s the trailer to the cop action flick Caught In The Crossfire produced and starring 50 cent under his Cheetah Vision production company. This was the film that was shooting in Grand Rapids, Michigan a couple of months back. Although it was picked up by Lionsgate for distribution, unfortunately, we can confirm at this time the movie will be going straight to DVD similar to 50’s last film Streets of Blood. 50 is suddenly becoming the equivalent of Wesley Snipes with all these direct-to-DVDs he’s churning out. Reports that the film was in production surfaced last May.

50 Cent is in the crossfire in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The rapper/actor, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, is part of a “smaller budget” police/crime film called Caught in the Crossfire that started production Friday (May 22). Our movie blogger Aaron Lafferty wrote on his Laff at the Movies blog, “the production crew, out of Los Angeles, is scheduled to be in the Grand Rapids area for 3 weeks.” (Wood TV)

50 is making his return to the movie screen alongside established actors.

The film stars features 50 Cent along with Adam Rodriguez (“CSI: Miami”) and Chris Klein (American Pie). Rick Hert, film commissioner for the West Michigan Film Office, says the movie is being produced in conjunction with Michigan’s tax incentives for film producers. Hert says details about the film aren’t being publicized yet. 50 Cent has made past visits to Grand Rapids for a 2003 concert and a celebrity basketball game organized by boxerFloyd Mayweather. The project was expected to finish filming last summer.

Filming for Caught in the Crossfire is expected to continue through early to mid June, according to Rick Hert, film commissioner for the West Michigan Film Office. More details about the film, including plot and filming locations, are being kept mostly under wraps, he said. On Friday morning, onlookers at J. Gardella’s Tavern, 11 Ionia Ave. SW, saw crews film Adam Rodriguez (“CSI: Miami”) getting into an unmarked police car with actor Chris Klein on Ionia Avenue. 50 Cent was not visible. (Michigan Live)

No further details have been revealed as of now.
