Claiming Buck is still his artist, 50 said a sit-down may be needed to determine the rapper’s future.

“He’s actually [still] signed to G-Unit Records,” 50 told radio host Angela Yee last night (September 13) from Yankee Stadium. “Well, I think we need to sit-down. [He can’t reach me?] If he can reach you, how can’t he reach me? If he’s trying to reach you, he could, the same way you could reach me. Buck is impulsive. And even when you see his outbursts, his random outbursts, again, you’ll see it be quiet, nobody’s talking, negative energy going on and then he’ll go ‘F*ck that, this and that, I ain’t want no G-Unit reunion! I’m gonna kill’ — he’s not gonna do none of that. It’s just who he is, he just does that randomly. People wondered why I taped the conversation I did a long time ago and it was an explanation, to explain what I had been going through. That was happening periodically.” (Shade 45)

Recent reports suggested Buck was released from his G-Unit contract.

A 100% reliable source just told us that 50 Cent has let Young Buck out of his contract with G-Unit. In April 2008 50 Cent announced on Hot 97 that Young Buck was kicked out the group, but was still contractually signed to G-Unit. Since that time, Buck has been unable to release any commercial music. Buck is currently working his new single “My Campaign”, produced by Drumma Boy. It will be interesting what he does with his new position. If he can get singles reacting on the radio, he get into a good position. But considering the amount of time that he’s been off the radar, it will be an uphill climb for Young Buck. (57th Ave)

Buck recently said he believed 50 is solely focused on forcing him to financially crumble.

“Listen, in those three years since I’ve been away from G-Unit, have you once heard 50 Cent say ‘I want this much for Buck to get out of his contract or anything like that?’ No! So that right there should be enough to understand the kind of situation that I’m in,” Buck pointed out in an interview. “All I need is the support of the people right now. 50’s been on a mission to starve me out…I’m still stuck contractually. I haven’t spoken to anyone from G-Unit in three years including 50 and I still have albums left over there.” (VIBE)

In spring 2008, 50 announced Buck’s disassociation from his G-Unit camp.

“You can look at it and see that’s Game all the way. I was giving him a chance, giving him the benefit of the doubt [to remain with the group]. You can take this as an official notice right here – pretty much you can say: Young Buck is no longer in the group G-Unit, but signed to G-Unit as a solo artist.” (Hip Hop DX)
