Numbers Don’t Lie

50 Cent wants all the credit for the money he’s making for the TV network, Starz.  And for the record, he’s willing to put his numbers up side-by-side with top shows on HBO and Showtime.

50 Cent Put Starz On The Map

With the wild success of his real-life-inspired series’ “BMF”, “Power” and the new “Power Book III: Raising Kanan”, 50 Cent proved that the portrayal of lives outside of the typical TV/Hollywood format can be wildly popular. After the success of “Power” for 6 seasons on television, 50 Cent launched secondary shows that have been reaping critical success in their own rights.

So it’s not far-fetched to say that the rapper turned TV exec has breathed life into the fledgling Starz network.  The CEO of the parent company of Starz, Jon Feltheimer, revealed that Raising Kanan helped bring nearly 1M subscribers to Starz within its first week.

For this, the multi-hyphenated 50 Cent wants all the credit.  50 responded on Twitter to a post by Danny Gold who lauded the success he brought to Starz saying that a story should be written on how 50’s shows stack up to shows on Showtime and HBO.

50 responded: “See they be sleeping on me, but we know what time it is.”

50 Cent has bad blood with someone again. The rapper and mogul was threatened by BMF rapper Bleu DaVinci to portray his image correctly—or else.

50 Cent’s new show Black Mafia Family is the talk of the town but not everyone is entirely happy. Bleu DaVinci, who was signed to BMF Entertainment and served five years in prison for his association with the drug trafficking and money laundering organization, went to Instagram Live to warn 50 Cent to handle his name right or else he’ll pay him a visit. He also threatened to cause an end to the show if misrepresentation happens.

“There won’t be no more shooting,” the rapper vented. “No more filming that shit. I’m gonna try to find a way to fuck up everything about it if you play with our name.”

Black Mafia Family is inspired by the true story of BMF founders Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory and Terry “Southwest T” and has already been renewed for a second season.

50 Cent Picks Nicki Minaj as Romantic Comedy Co-Star
